Objekts, a collection of geometric wooden sculptures
• Submission
Objekts are a series of wooden sculptures made up of simple, geometric shapes and primary colours. Hand-crafted and containing modular touches, they can be combined in a range of different ways to create unique collections for living spaces of any kind. However, they were also created with much more than just that in mind. By giving people the chance to create their own compositions, Objekts are also designed to bring out the playful side in us. Being made out of wood means that Objekt pieces are at once warm and tactile, inviting themselves to be touched, held, stacked and moved. Of course, they are made to look good in homes but they are also meant to be fun!
Created by Lefty Le Mur, a small workshop that combines a purely graphic aesthetic with manual craftsmanship, Objekts are the first product that the workshop is producing on a modest scale. They are inspired by the most basic of the visual elements – square, circle, triangle, red, yellow, blue – elements that almost everyone identifies strongly with.
The Objekts are currently being crowdfunded via Kickstarter, where they can be pre-ordered at early bird prices of up to 25% off until April 19th!
